Lisbon is a great city and offers a plenty of things to do and see but if you don’t know what to look for you might feel a bit lost.
And while aimless roaming around its charming streets is a great activity on its own, sometimes you might appreciate a bit of direction.
Since opening Surf Office Lisbon last summer, we had enough of time to discover the best local places to hang out, secret locations and tasty eateries.
The hard work is done, what’s left for you is to pack your bags and make your week in Lisbon great!
Have a fresh fish for lunch, watered down by Portuguese wine or beer.
Watch a sunset over the city and the river Tejo. Miradouro de Santa Catalina is our favorite and just minutes from Surf Office but there are numerous other viewpoints around so you can choose one for each day and compare.
Have an ice cream break. A hip and trendy ice cream parlour is Davvero in Cais do Sodre. Stop there on your way from lunch or have a couple of scopes as an after work treat.
Once the night comes, try vinho verde, young Portuguese wine. Tabacaria is a safe tip and just around the corner from Surf Office.
Buy some fresh goodies at Mercado da Ribeira, the trendiest market in Lisbon. Staying for a meal prepared by one of the top chefs in Lisbon might be also very tempting.
For an afternoon walk, get lost in the city. Word of caution: falling in love with Portuguese tiles is highly probable.
To soak up some bohemian atmosphere, venture further out in the city and visit Casa Intependente.
Devour a couple of sweet moments with pastel de nata made in the best bakery in town, Manteigaria. We won’t judge you if you’ll not be able to stop at one.
No sweet tooth? Stock up on local colorful sardines in one of the traditional shops.
Have a leisurely stroll along the river to walk off the calories and enjoy the urban vibes.
Begin your day at Copenhagen with great coffee and hipster ambiance.

Later in the evening, get in the party mood for Pink street – the hottest party district in town.
Forget cars or trams. Cross the river by ferry and head for the sandy shores.
If you’re finding hard to hold up after yesterday’s night, beat the hangover with surfing at Praia da Mata.
Or just spend a couple of hours chilling on the beach.
Enjoy waking up late and have a proper Sunday brunch at Cafe Tati.
Fed and rested explore the trendy LX factory for a nice culture fix.

To conclude your Lisbon adventure, listen to a live gig. Either at Cafe Tati, or just randomly in the city.
A week like this should leave you full of ideas and memories but chances are, you’ll want to come back for more 🙂
