When it comes to attracting and retaining new employees, today’s companies have a wide range of tactics at their disposal. Remote working, unlimited days off, perks such as gaming rooms and unlimited coffee and beer are just some methods to lure in new workforce. However, company culture remains one of the strongest employer brand elements that makes companies desirable to new talent.
As building company culture is a long-lasting, complex process, it’s difficult to do it on your own. Besides taking cue from companies such as Google, another great resource for learning about company culture are conferences. Luckily, there are some great events you can attend to improve your knowledge on company culture, and we’ve singled out some of the best ones for you today.
1. Culture Summit
Culture Summit is by far the largest event dedicated to company culture, attracting giants such as Amazon and Facebook. The conference takes place in San Francisco from 25-27 of June 2019. You can grab the 3-day super early bird ticket for just $999 at the moment, but the price is sure to increase as the conference date gets closer.
2. The Employee Engagement Conference
The Employee Engagement Conference is run by the Human Capitol Institute and it’s all about providing actionable insights for improving the employee experience. The conference takes place in Colorado, Denver from July 29-31 2019. If you register by April 7, you can grab the early bird 3-day pass for $1,795 and save $200. If you can’t make it to Colorado, there’s also a virtual pass available.
3. For All Summit
For All Summit is a conference focused on company culture, organized by Great Place to Work. Taking place for the 16th year in a row, this conference invites more than 1,000 HR leaders from all over the globe to work on building culture. It takes place in San Francisco, California, and you should hurry to get your ticket as the event dates are from 26 to 28 of February 2019. Speaking of tickets, prices start at $2,195 – there are no early bird discounts at the moment.
CultureCon is a conference that aims to shake up the traditional organizational culture in the workplace. The 2018 event attracted 40 speakers (including those from Zendesk, Zappos and MIT) and 350 attendees. This year’s event will take place from July 17-18 in Madison, Wisconsin. Tickets start at the very low price of $249 for a single attendant.
X4 is an event you don’t want to miss in 2019. The reasons are many, but the speaker list is by far the most convincing – including names such as Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey. At X4, you can learn how to shape cultures that make employees come and work for your company. The conference takes place in Salt Lake City, Utah, from March 5-8. You can grab the tickets for $1,399 at this moment.
As the unemployment rate gets lower by the day and top talent becomes harder to attract, the culture will remain one of the pivotal elements of successful companies’ employer brands.
